Viet Capital Securities Co and An Binh Securities Co for the first time joined the list of the top 10 brokers on the HCM City Stock Exchange in the third quarter of this year.
Viet Capital was ranked in 8th place, with a 2.53-per-cent market share, while An Binh Securities made 10th place, with a 2.28-per-cent market share.
Independent analyst Nguyen Anh Dung said making the list would be an effective marketing tool for the young brokerages, particularly if they decide to make a public offering of shares.
"That's why the young companies are more keen than the veteran ones," he said. "Support from the parent companies of those brokerages affiliated with commercial banks, as well as their efforts to updating technologies, are consistently decisive factors."
Companies reaching the top list were strong enough in brokerage services to lure a consistent level clients, Dung said.
Thang Long Securities Co remained in the top position, claiming 11.34 per cent of brokerage market share, followed by Saigon Securities Inc at 8.23 per cent and Sacombank Securities at 6.38 per cent.
Thang Long also claimed the position of the leading broker in the third quarter at the Ha Noi market, for an 11.8-per-cent market share, followed by FPT Securities at 5 per cent and VNDirect Securities at 4.9 per cent.
