TTG Travel Awards honors Vietnam hotel

Built in 1901, the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi endures as the country's most iconic hotel (CPV) - The Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi has taken home the top spot in the ‘Best City Hotel – Hanoi’ category in TTG’s annual Travel Awards this year. The Best Hotel award is based on criterion of an appraisal of services, facilities, value-added benefits and most professional sales and marketing team. More than 48,000 readers of TTG across the Asia-Pacific contributed assessments across four main categories. The awards are widely recognized as one of the most prestigious in Southeast Asia. In the past year, the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi has scooped a number of coveted awards from around the globe, including a spot on the Conde Nast Hot List and, most recently, PATA’s top award in the Heritage category. In the 2010 TTG awards program, the trade publication conferred 53 awards to travel suppliers (airlines, hotels, MICE, travel service), 15 awards to travel agents, four awards for outstanding achievement, such as destination of the year, and seven awards in the Travel Hall of Fame.
