Hanoi through the camera lens

By Thoa Nguyen in Hanoi A photo exhibition called “VNPhoto & 1,000 looks of Hanoi” will take place at the Hanoi Library, 47 Ba Trieu Street from October 2 to 5. The exhibition features 1,000 photos about Hanoi with images of daily life, people, natural landscapes as well as changes and nostalgia through 1,000 years taken by members of the VNPhoto network (www.vnphoto.net). The program was launched on the website from August 1 to September 15 for members to submit entries and attracted hundreds of people with 1,363 photos. At the exhibition, a replica of Khue Van Cac Temple made of 1,000 lacquer boxes will also be displayed. All proceeds from the auction of the photos and lacquer boxes, which is expected to raise about VND200 million, will be donated to charities to build schools for poor students in remote areas. VNPhoto website is a Vietnamese website for all lovers of photography for people to share and exchange about photographic arts.
