Festival to give peek into traditions of Holland

Traditional Dutch crafts, food, and music will be on show at a festival organized in Ho Chi Minh City next month by the country’s consulate.
Holland Village, to be held for the first time in Vietnam, will feature 12 traditional Dutch houses, a 10-meter windmill, and other typical attractions like a fish stand, a cheese stand, and street organ.
Visitors can see craftsmen make wooden clogs and blow glass and products made from flowers.

There will be milking competitions for children and, every afternoon, a traditional costume show.
The event will be held at the 23/9 Park near Ben Thanh market from October 22 to 31 and entry will be free.
Holland Village was first held in Germany in 1980 and later taken to other countries like Japan, China, Thailand, Malaysia, and Canada.
