BBGV Fun Run raises US$50,000 for charity

Evan Fox and Khoa Dang won first and second place for men, while the women winners were Elodie Aireau and Fiona Nichols. The first and second teenagers (aged 13 to 18) across the line were Adam Hilton and Simon Arts. Ellie Spencer-Harty and Sean Neo were the winning girl and boy (6 to 12). The 4km event attracted 7,000 runners and walkers including company-staff teams and serious runners. The US$50,000 raised for charities nationwide beat organizer’s expectations of US$40,000. The race started at Saigon Zoo and followed Le Duan, Dong Khoi, Mac Thi Buoi and Hai Ba Trung streets. Last year, the British Business Group Vietnam Fun Run attracted 5,000 runners and raised US$36,000.
