This selection result has been released by one of Southeast Asia’s most widely read travel-trade media outlets, Smart Travel Asia.Specifically, Hanoi ranks 7th and Hoi An retains its 5thposition among the top 10 Asian's destinations.
In addition, many hotels and resorts in Vietnam were also named in the "Top 25 Leisure Hotels and Resorts" by Smart Travel Asia, including the Nam Hai, Hoi An at 2nd place, Sofitel Legend Metropole, Hanoi at 3rd place, Sofitel Dalat Palace, Dalat at 21st place and Princess d'Annam Resort&Spa, Binh Thuan at 25th place.
The top 25 hotels for businessman hailed Park Hyatt Saigon, HCM City and Sofitel Legend Metropole, Hanoi at 8th and 20th place, respectively. Moreover, the two properties continued to be listed among the top 25 hotels for meetings at 8th and 10th place, respectively. The list also named Sheraton Hanoi at 17th position.
The sixth annual poll, ran from May to July 2010. Smart Travel Asia said its voters, on average, took 14 air trips in the past 12 months and earned US$165,000 in household income. Approximately 60 percent of the voters were based in Asia; 20 percent from the UK/Europe; and 20 percent from North America.
