Climbers to plant flag of Thang Long – Hanoi on Fansipan peak

(CPV) – A tour to climb up and plant the flag of Thang Long Hanoi on 
the nation’s highest mountain, the Fansipan peak will be organized from October 30th to November 3rd in the northern province of Lao Cai to mark the capital city’s millennium birthday.
More than 60 competitors at home and abroad will take part in the event, said the organizing board. There will be two foreign teams to climb the Fansipan Peak, including the Kunming Association of Climbers, China and a Thailand team.
The organizing board will award prizes for winners in stages. Those who take the lead in the second stage will possess the flag of Thang Long – Hanoi procession from the 2,800 meter point to plant it on the summit of Fansipan Peak.
Exciting and impressive photos during the competition will also be presented with prizes.
